In 2022, he was a candidate for Attorney General of Georgia, running with President Donald Trump's endorsement on a platform centered on election integrity, the rule of law, and restoring public trust in government.

John is an entrepreneur engaged in six distinct businesses across multiple industries, giving him firsthand experience in the challenges and opportunities facing American business owners. His diverse background allows him to offer practical insights on entrepreneurship, the economy, and public policy.

A committed servant leader, John has devoted decades to nonprofit and community service. He volunteered for many years with United Way and served for 25 years in various leadership roles at Skyland Trail in Atlanta, widely recognized as one of the nation's premier treatment centers for mood disorders, schizophrenia, and adolescent eating disorders. During his final three years on the board, he served as Chairman, helping guide the organization's mission of providing world-class mental health care. He also served multiple terms on the Board of Trustees of Ohio Wesleyan University, founded Friends of English Avenue, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to revitalizing one of Atlanta's most underserved communities, and currently serves on the Session of Lakeside Presbyterian Church in West Palm Beach, Florida.

John is a licensed pilot with ratings in single-engine and multi-engine aircraft, jets, and helicopters, reflecting a lifelong passion for aviation. A devoted husband and father, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and being outdoors with his Labrador Retrievers. A lifelong athlete and hunter, he continues to pursue an active lifestyle. John graduated from Stratford Academy in Macon, Georgia, earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, and received his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law.
